The Leprosy Mission Scotland

The Leprosy Mission Scotland:  Our church supports TLMS – one of the “arms” of The Leprosy Mission.  Members of the congregation take home small blue tubs which they then fill with coins.  These are collected about three times a year and we are able to send a donation -for use in the areas [mainly in Africa and India] still affected by leprosy.  The aim of the society is the irradication of leprosy, which is simple to do if the disease is caught early,  but every day between 600 and 700 new cases are discovered.  Money is therefore needed to support the hospitals and staff in the areas where these facilities have been set up by The Leprosy Mission.
