St Cuthbert’s serves Colinton and also reaches out into neighbouring communities. It endeavours to be a community in which all are encouraged to participate in worshipping God and serving the wider community.
It welcomes those who are doubters and sceptics as well as those who are committed in faith, and has a concern for those who have been hurt by their experiences of life.
Coronavirus: on the 17th March the College of Bishops announced the cessation of all public services and group meetings until further notice. On the 23rd March they announced that churches and cathedrals will be closed to the public until further notice
Nicki has written to the congregation. A copy of the letter can be found here. She also writes: “In this time of unrest and isolation for some, when Communion cannot be shared, I offer you prayers to be used each day at noon, for the community of St. Cuthbert’s to be united in prayer and love”. See Prayers. We do however, want to keep in touch as best we can, therefore the weekly Sunday Order of Service will be prepared in the usual way, together with the Reflection and Intercessions.
