Baptism on Mothering Sunday

Two long serving members receive Awards
It was lovely to welcome Bishop John, on Sunday 18th March, to present The St Cuthbert diocesan award to Mary Moffett and Donald Mackintosh and to celebrate Lay Ministry in our church.

Parcel on its way to “Knit for Peace”
With thanks to our wonderful Secret Knitters, another parcel of wee jackets, hats and colourful blankets has been sent to the charity Knit for Peace.
A few days after Margaret sent the parcel she got the following letter:‘Dear St.Cuthbert’s Episcopal Church
I am delighted to say that we have cheap valium overnight delivery received your wonderful knitted donations. We look forward to delivering the knitted items, as they will undoubtedly make a big difference to those in need. Thank you for your support, we truly appreciate it.’

End of term outing for our young people
Our young people enjoyed an end of term outing on Sunday 11th June. They ate like kings at Pizza Express (courtesy of Tesco vouchers!) and enjoyed catching up on all their news in addition to deciding who had the best pudding. The next part of the trip involved finding the Holy Grail whilst being locked in a room! Escape Edinburgh was the destination and our fearless 6 had one hour to solve gonorrhea antibiotics online logic puzzles and find clues in order to be released from the Da Vinci Room. At 59 mins 50 seconds they burst out triumphant. They enjoyed the experience feeling they all had an opportunity to contribute, finding it interesting to watch each other figure out puzzles, liking the mix of easy and difficult pictures and are asking when they can go again.

On 3rd June the Brew and Blether group not only enjoyed tea and cake but were also entertained by several different groups from ‘Angela Watson School of Dance’.
