On a sunny Saturday, at the beginning of July, Kate and Gabriel were married at St.Cuthbert’s
The hall was well filled with congregation, friends and neighbours for the annual Burns Supper. This was the first time that Nicki and her husband attended our event. However, from Iain’s splendid rendering of ‘The Address to the Haggis’, it was obvious that they had attended many Burns Suppers in the past.
Following the meal there was entertainment from several members of the congregation.

A Burns Supper at St.Cuthbert’s has been a tradition for many years; the format however changes. This year, after the Haggis had been piped in by Cameron & addressed by Kate there was a traditional Burns Supper provided by Haddows Catering. People had been asked to BYOB, the photo shows the assortment of drinks they brought. During the meal an impromptu competition was started after one of the diners started to sketch on the paper tablecloth. Others joined in, Ceri got the prize after sketching her fellow diners at table 3. After the meal there was an Evening of Verse and Music in honour of Burns.
