St.Cuthbert’s has appointed a new Children, Families and Youth Worker

Nicki wrote in our church magazine: “it gives me great pleasure to welcome Caroline Daye as our new Children, Families and Youth Worker.  Caroline comes with vast experience within the Scottish Episcopal Church.”

Caroline wrote in our church magazine: ” Hi there! I’m Caroline and I’m so excited to be joining the St Cuthbert’s family as your Children, Youth and Families Worker. I can’t wait to get started working with you all in engaging children and young people, sharing our faith together as a community, to help engage those on the edges – those with questions and those who are searching for God.
A little about me. I grew up in the small town of Kelso, a childhood that consisted mainly of music, figure skating and Church. At the age of 12, I went to the Provincial Youth Network’s annual youth week held at the Strathallan boarding school in Perthshire. During the following 12 years I was actively involved within this structure, both as a delegate (young person) and subsequently as a leader. This community was very important to me – in fact it was where I met my husband, Andrew and all of the Godparents for our three rambunctious children. Andrew and I now live near Leith with Jessica (7), Ruaridh (4) and Innes who will be 1 in March.
As a family, we love food – especially sushi, pizza and pretty much anything with chips – nearly all our travels and stories will come with a food recommendation! Andrew and I are big fans of whisky and Formula 1. I also love baking and cooking food.”
